Marcia shares her experience working with AKA

Come look at this apartment, and I don’t think you’re gonna think twice about working with Allegra.  You understand Manhattan, you understand the rules and regs, you understand co-ops and co-op boards, you understand landmarks. You’re not a plumber, you’re not an electrician. So you did have to work with all these other people, and you came weekly depending on the phase of the project, and you were able to offer guidance, question, check, audit, all of those things. And then explain to us if there was an issue, what we needed to worry about. And you dealt very closely with the contractor, and you and he didn’t always agree on everything, but you know, you worked it out, and you explained things to us in a way that we could make good decisions for ourselves. When I have people here, whether it’s one person sleeping over or my family, or Steve’s family, or 35 friends with different rituals and different events and music and all kinds of things, I just look around, and I just want to cry. I feel like this is what this home was built for, for love, for gatherings, for people, for solitude to share our blessings. Steve can work here. I can work here. I dance here. I have my personal trainer on Zoom. I have plenty of room to move, to lift weights, to dance, whatever it is I’m doing. Steve has wine tastings here. This is what we dreamt of, so this is a fulfillment of our dream.
